In Seattle.....

"Surveying the Seattle market, I'm finding many managers are using revenue management software like YieldStar to price their units and rents are going up."

In Los Angeles.......

" After completing most of the calls for Los Angeles this quarter, property managers are divided.  About half of the communities I've surveyed are raising rents, while the other half are lowering them."

In the California Central Valley........

"It seems the central valley is a little depressed right now.  I'm finding that rents are mostly down from what we got in the first quarter of 2011."  One manager said that investors are buying up single family homes cheap and renting them out."
